I couldn't believe what happened while fishing this overgrown abandoned quarry... there are some HUGE fish in here. I love fishing wild and unique places like this and for good reason, you just never know what's going to happen! I've done a lot of perch fishing in here before, mostly lure fishing, and have even caught a big one. But can we catch an even bigger fish this time? As well as my normal lures, I brought along some worms following the advice given to me by people who have fished here before. What will we catch? Fishing a TOWN CENTRE for the monster fish that live here - and catching a PB! I've been after this fish for a very long time, and it has finally happened! Winter lure fishing starts now, and I seem to have stumbled across the perfect fishing lure for the colder weather. Most of the perch fishing i've done has been in summer using things like paddle tail jigs, so this is completely new to me. What a huge success though! Fishing this high altitude lake on the side of a mountain blew my mind! We catch some beautiful fish and see some incredible views, fishing doesn't get much better than this! It definitely wasn't easy getting up there, with my fitness anyway! I hope you enjoy the video especially considering how much effort it took me to get up there. This is one of those fishing trips I won't forget, with a good handful of rare and unexpected fish/species. I love lure fishing rivers, especially trout fishing and salmon fishing. With trout season about a month away, I thought i'd have a go at trying to catch a salmon in Winter. Everyone I spoke to said it was next to impossible to catch a salmon at this time of year, in the river i was fishing. Fortune favours the brave though, and we were definitely rewarded for taking a gamble! Lure fishing a small overgrown quarry, after I heard some crazy fish had been caught in there. This place was absolutely beautiful, it's not everyday you fish somewhere as unique as this. Especially with none stop action and a surprise species thrown in there too! Using small scented lures is always great fun, and they definitely worked a treat here. Huge thanks to the people telling me about this spot on one of my recent videos, I love fishing these kinds of places. I don't do as much perch fishing as I should really, every time I go i remember how much fun lure fishing for perch can be. The rumours of big perch in here proved to be true, but word on the street is they get a lot bigger than that. I'll definitely be back in search of an even bigger one! I got special permission to go fishing on a beautiful farm stream, and something very unexpected happened! Fishing this small river in the snow was great fun and I get the feeling this place still holds a few more secrets. I don't do much grayling fishing but i'm starting to really love it as a winter fishing idea. I do plenty of lure fishing, pike fishing, perch fishing, trout fishing etc but a bit of this is really helping me bring you all some varied content especially when canals and stillwaters are frozen!
